MEME: End of Year Fic-Meme
Snagged from july_july_july

Leitmotif of the year: Jeez. Um. Damned if I know. Random fandoms and crack-laden crossovers. Expanding my horizons. Summaries beginning with the word 'Some'.

Story of mine most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: This year? Hrm. Well, Buck Godot/Doctor Who - Galli(mau)fr(e)y has really low traffic, but no one knows half the crossover and most of you don't follow the other half. I dunno. There were quite a few I figured more people would like but turns out I was wrong. *shrug*

Most fun story to write: "...I'll Come In Again" (spoilers for 5.10) or "It's All in the Delivery". Over-the-top evil and incompetant minions are fun to write.

Story with the single sexiest moment: Pft. I don't do sex. I did write arguable Het though with Nornegrauten I guess, plus "Six Months On Earth" which is a post-Torchwood-series-3 little sort of Jack/Ianto PG thing.

Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Heh. "Cheer Up, Emo Bear".

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: This year... maybe Leave-Taking?

Hardest story to write: Gaaah. Many. Reality is a Matter of Opinion Or actually, Dean's Eye View. Or Nornegrauten. Yeah, Nornegrauten. I revised it after posting. This was a year of recalcitrant bunnies.

Easiest story to write: There were a few that just sat me down and dictated. Some of the conversations and quick little funny things. Research is its Own Reward etc.

Best story of the year: I have absolutely no idea.

Truest story of the year: What does that even mean? Cross-Border Shopping was partly based on a true story. *shrug*

Biggest disappointment: My lack of progress on WiPs. I don't know precisely why, but they're fighting me tooth and nail. Probably the exposition to action ratio in the current 'next sections' of both, plus the Doctor is backseat plotting (as he does) and Johnny Snow is bound and determined to monologue forever. :-P

Biggest surprise: The reaction to "Building Dean Van Halen" o.O

Most unintentionally telling story: Hm. "Eye of The Beholder" maybe? Or "Cheer Up, Emo Bear" Har, har, har. XD

Favorite opening line: I dunno. Sam sat on the bed wearing nothing but a towel and an epic bitchface. I guess?

Favorite closing line: *shrug* The assortment of parents glared as Sam took off running towards the change rooms, bunny head under his arm, swatting away swarms of insects.

Favorite line from anywhere: *shrug again* "I suppose you're gonna tell me this wild magic crap only happens to miserable, humorless bastards who need to cut loose, and as soon as I relax and have 'fun' with it, it'll be over?"

Story I haven't yet written, but intend to: Soooooo many. So, so, so many.

Goals for next year: Make some kind of progress on WiPs and consider doing Summergen again. Try to just relax and write and not get all anxious.
