(A little early perhaps, but I've been hearing good things about this thing called 'sleep' and I thought I'd try and get me some. ;-P)
I altered my usual Thursday icon a teeny bit in honor of the CW growing half a braincaving to our demands being gracious enough to let us have Supernatural repeats back. About freaking time. It feels like this is going to be the first Thursday since the 21st of February and it's just been one long endless week since then.
Tonight's repeat episode is 3.09 - Malleus Maleficarum, so remember not to have hamburgers for dinner.... X-P
Ooo! Hey! POLL!!! Just out of morbid curiousity... Poll #1165047

After seeing Malleus Maleficarum, how long was it before you could eat a hamburger (or equivalent food item ie: veggie burger)?
I actually just watched that ep again today, since I'll be on a plane tomorrow night on my way to Eyecon while everyone else is watching it... and yeah YUCK on the maggotty burger. It was weeks before I ate one and now I'm thinking I won't have another one for quite a while. It wasn't so bad the second time around, though I still cannot bear to watch the teeth in the sink. That and the teeth falling out on "Skin" are two of the grossest scenes for me. Too much time at the dentist probably.
Yeah, Kripke has some serious teeth issues going on in the series, between the shifter teeth, the teeth in this ep, the near-tooth-pulling in the christmas ep, the teeth in a jar in Benders... Someone has to have done meta on it somewhere.
I was eating one when I watched it. I thought that effect was awesome although the first run through I really thought he was eating a chicken burger for some reason. Yeah, I can't explain that either.
Maybe a side effect of the gross chicken carcass what's-her-name used in the spell? It would have made logical sense for it to be a chicken burger too, the whole 'like calls to like' thing, but then she'd've had to have a way to be certain he hadn't changed his mind and gone for something other than a chicken burger that day.
I shall never eat burgers eww! Gross. I don't like them to begin with. That scene made me dislike them even more. *is thinking* Dammit that woulda been a great April Fools prank, to find rice that looks like maggots and put them in a burger and give it to someone...next year.....
I think one of the reasons that part of the episode grossed me out so much is that when mom used to make hamburgers she'd put dry rolled oats into the hamburger mixture before making the patties to try to stretch the ground beef to make more burgers. As a result there'd be all these little slimy bits in the meat from the burger blood-soaked oatmeal... I didn't mind when I was a kid, but now? BLEURGH! X-P
I'm so sorry! And you were safe on the other side of the pond and in no danger of exposure to the repeat episode tonight! Can you ever forgive me??? *makes abject woobie eyes at you*
When I watched that scene a voice in my head whent "that's an excellent source of protein!" And I started giggling and forgot to get grossed out. It's a quote from somewhere, but damn if I can remember exactly where...
I don't remember how long it took me... seeing as I didnt have a car then... im going to have to say weeks... although I might have caught a Harvey's on campus... so really? no clue!
Since it's the busy season at work and no one gets any time off to have lunch, the boss occasionally buys everyone McDonald's. At the best of times, it's a pretty shudder-worthy experience but after Malleus I stuck to Coke and fries. :-P
HAHA yeah I can see why you'd be doing that... We usually get McD's at the track when we have a horse win - but its ALWAYS breakfast foods so its no where near as sketchy... but yeah we got pizza at the kids toystore over chirstmas because again, everyone tooo busy to get a break.
I was particularly amused tonight by the ad for Chili's 'Thick Juicy Burgers' being placed shortly after that scene. Someone either has a sense of humor or no clue. :-)
