Recs: Sherlock Recs again some more

Improbability by mischif
Summary: "Call me John. I'm used to it by now."
(Crossover: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. IT WORKS TOO WELL.)

John and Sherlock Make a Baby (From Stuff they Find Around the Flat) by annlarimer
Author's Summary and/or Warnings: Jesus Christ, it's a babyfic - GET IN THE CAR. Also wrong-headedness, slurs against the Irish, general creepiness, and a roofie joke.
(So. Much. Crack.)

Adventures in Babysitting by travels_in_time on Dreamwidth
Summary: Eleven-year-old Greg unexpectedly winds up watching a room full of unruly children.
(Very recognizable unruly children. More crack. Involving babies. Must have been a theme this week.)

Reader by cualacino
Telekinetic!John and Telepathic!Sherlock. Together they fight crime! ...actually, they do.
(AU, obviously. Interesting re-take on several events in the series. Spoilers for everything.)

Structural Colour by solsticezero
Summary: Sherlock is left in the same room as Lestrade's five-year-old daughter for about fifteen minutes.
(As I commented there: *gestures wordlessly*)

Sonata Form by cj_ludd18
Summary: Mycroft Holmes has always revolved his life around that of his little brother, whether he wishes to do so or not.
(Big brother Mycroft through the ages. Contains some Het and Slash experimentation but it's almost entirely off-screen in one way or another)

However Improbable, Process of Elimination and Six Impossible Things by mad_maudlin on Dreamwidth or 10leaguesbeyond
Summaries: 1) John's been doing a little deduction. 2) They always give Lestrade the weird ones. 3) Mornings after are always awkward.
(Three part AU Crack!verse. This is partly disturbing, partly adorable, fascinating as hell and more than a little funny in spots. Poor Lestrade.)

Apathy and Other Things Beginning with "A" by puddle_of_light
Summary: Three weeks without a case and Sherlock is bored. As John struggles to cope with Sherlock's increasingly erratic behaviour, he learns something about himself along the way.
(Author rating: R. Contains some violence and drug use and mentions of off-screen John/Sarah. Downtime is not a good thing for these two.)

M is for Mummy by laurab1
Summary – M, as played by Dame Judi Dench, is BBC!Sherlock & Mycroft’s mother
(Crossover: James Bond Movies. omgmypromptfinallygotfilled *koff* John gets a rather unique version of 'the Talk'. Excellent M voice.)

*Squint = If you look at it one way, it's plain Gen, if you squint, you might see slash or pre-slash.

Le Chatelier's Principle by staticlights
(Please pretend there's a little accent-hat on the a in the title. Spoilers for The Great Game. This is awesome for too many reasons to list. It may also be educational.)

Complete Series 1 by potthead
Resolution - 1280x720
(This is the first screencap set for this show I've seen available in gallery format, so it's easy to find specific scenes or just have them all scroll past like a flip book.)

The Transcribing of the Traumatic Adventures of Dr. John, Doorkicker, Smiley, and The Redshirt. by luchia13
(This crazy wonderful person has gone through John Watson's nightmare montage frame-by-frame and worked out a timeline of events and roughly what went down. You guys, there are diagrams! *draws hearts everywhere*)

If you've seen something amazing that you think more people in the Sherlock fandom should have the chance to enjoy, please rec it at the main Sunday Recday post at sherlockbbc.

...and a brief personal note: Since Supernatural reaction picspams will be taking over my weekends entirely again as of next week, I'm not sure if these recs posts will be continuing as a regular feature or whether I'll just be dropping any recs for the week straight into the sherlockbbc's Recday posts with no commentary. Remains to be seen. :-/

You seem to be like someone who'd know where to find transcripts for the episodes, mmh? For example, those two minutes at the begining of the Great Game when Sherlock goes grammar!nazi on the murderer's ass?

Not off-hand, but there is a transcripts tag over at the comm, someone might have posted some there. What do you need to know?

Just the intro to the third episode. Well, all the dialogue in those two minutes, really.

You sat in your chair while we discussed the case, your hand free of its tremor, and settled over where a holster would have been.

I hear you with the imminent SPN premiere. However, I hope you keep the recs coming. They are awesome, as are you.
caffienekitty From: caffienekitty Date: September 21st, 2010 02:46 am (UTC) (Link)
I hope to, but they might be a little more thrown together and less thought out. The last two took several hours to put together because I kept getting sucked into re-reading. :-)

I don't have any idea what this season of SPN will be like, but last year just doing the reaction picspams usually took all weekend every weekend after a new ep aired. This year there's going to be one less day due to the airing schedule shift, so them taking less time doesn't seem too likely, but we'll see. :-/

I need more free time and more space in my head. Can I delete junior high or something? :-P
