Sunday ramble
-spn_bigpretzel's Halloween Reverse Micro Bang* is open for art posting, and I've posted an entry with my complete lack of art skills! I encourage anyone else to either put together something arty for an entry and see if someone writes a story for it, or check out the art posted so far and consider writing a story to match or explain a piece of art. spn_bigpretzel's mandate is "The Lighter Side of Supernatural" so humor, schmoop, happy, silly, cuddly sort of things are most appropriate, particularly the boys (all or any of them) having fun on the job. It's a great, fun, drama-free comm in general and there are frequent fun things going on or being posted, so I encourage anyone interested in Supernatural to check out the comm.

* What is a Reverse Micro Bang? A regular Big Bang is one where writers write very long things, then Artist sign up and make graphics. A 'Reverse' Bang is one where the art is posted first, then writers write stories based on the art. A 'Micro Bang' is one with a really low word count minimum (1000 words this time, I think?) and this Micro-Bang's theme is Halloween. So, it's just like a Big Bang except upside down and backwards! Hooray! \o/

-In other news, I've ordered SPN Season 7 and the Avengers DVD/Blu-ray combo pack (since the straight DVD has almost no extra stuff, not even the gag reel???) from Amazon, since there's been no word of bonus material in Best Buy/FutureShop copies. I still have four episodes to watch of season 7, so getting the DVD on the day it's out isn't a priority since I won't watch the gag reel or bonus material until I've finished the season anyway. Also, between the cost of gas to drive the half hour round trip to my local Future Shop and the discounts through Amazon, doing it this way will save me about 20 bucks. And once again, the credit card people are happy with me. Uggg.

-This Wednesday is apparently the tenth annual International Talk Like A Pirate Day! Arrrrr you ready?

Must make trip to Best Buy on Tues to grab SPN. Debating whether to order Avengers from Amazon, or see if I can snag a copy here, depending on if they have them of course. Wombat and I may dress up on Wed, if we are allowed to. I don't deal with the public anyway, and slink around behind the scenes(I do so love being invisible), so it won't be an issue I figure.

Excellent song choice btw. Listening to loud music myself at the moment, while mom is off for a family meeting.

Avengers shouldn't be too hard to find. I went the Amazon route because of the distance and the likelihood that if I walk into Future Shop, I'll walk out with a far larger dent in my credit card than I can handle. :-/

Hope the meeting went OK.

I didn't think so, but it is always good to have a back-up plan;)

Meeting was fine, and my grandparents agreed to use the extra help the nurse next door gives them (she doesn't come by enough right now). Another meeting on Wed to change their wills and sort out other things.

Did you have a decent weekend?

Took up until about 7 pm on Sunday to stop spinning out about work, but other than that, weekend was ok.

*hugs* to you and you mom. :-/

The only way to get the bonus features for the Avengers is on the blue-ray? What kind of bullshit is that?

I know, right? Maybe it's just Canada, but if you go to amazon and look at the release comparison grid, it's saying the plain dvd has almost nothing, and the combo pack (DVD/Blue-ray) and blue-ray releases have all the stuff.
